Growing Home Southeast Becomes a Certified United
Way Agency
Growing Home Southeast recently successfully completed
the process of becoming a certified United Way agency.
As A partner with United Way of the Midlands, GHSE will
have the opportunity to submit proposals for funding
on a competitive basis along with other opportunities
open to the non profit community in the Columbia area.
SC Housing Trust Fund Awards Growing Home Southeast
$249,584
Growing Home Southeast received additional funding for
our supportive housing project. This funding, along
with the HUD grant, puts us closer to developing Leaphart
Place, our supportive housing project.
HUD Awards Growing Home Southeast $236,250
HUD awards Growing Home Southeast $236,250 to develop
a unique community for youth that are transitioning
out of foster care with no safe place to live. In partnership
with the Midlands
Area Consortium on Homelessness (MACH), the SC
Department of Mental Health and Nehemiah
Community Development Corporation, a supportive
housing site will be developed in West Columbia, South
Carolina where young people will receive a variety of
support services to further the development of the life-skills
necessary to live successfully as adults within their
communities.
