Christmas
is a time of celebration for children and families across the
world. We know that it is never too early to start
planning for the Christmas holiday season. That is why
Growing Home Southeast, Inc. is sponsoring the Christmas Toy
Drive on Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 12 noon to 5:00 pm at
440 Knox Abbott Drive in Cayce (at the corner of Knox Abbott and
State Streets).
Growing
Home Southeast, Inc. currently provides treatment foster care for
over 150 children and youth in South Carolina. It is a huge
challenge to make the holidays memorable for each of them and find
the resources to fulfill the requests the agency receives. It
is so important to provide the children and youth that are served by
Growing Home Southeast, Inc. a loving and caring environment to help
them live a normal life, the same as any child. The Christmas
holidays are important for every child. Growing Home
Southeast, Inc., in partnership with Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, is
sponsoring the Toy Drive. Representatives from both
organizations will be present to greet all donors. They will
be giving out cookies and hot chocolate as a way to thank everyone.
“By joining us
and making a donation of a toy or gift you will have the
satisfaction of knowing that you have made this holiday season a
memorable one for a child in foster care in South Carolina,” says
Gayle Ricks, President and CEO of Growing Home Southeast, Inc.
“We hope people will come out on November 21st stop by
our office in Cayce and bring a toy.”
